Modular One turntable

"The modular one set the bar high –the baroque music had a real openness and transparency – breathtakingly realistic

Instrument positioning was excellent both side to side and front to back

The trumpets in the Tchaikovsky symphony were extremely clear and open, yet strident as indeed they should be

The lower mid range was well controlled and tight

Bass drums were punchy with great grip and also very extended

Bass was brought into life in a way I had not heard before with this recording

The whole unit looks impressive: it is apparent that everything has been manufactured and finished to a high standard"

Neville Roberts review - Hi FI World Magazine

The MODULAR ONE turntable is an introduction to the ISOkinetik range of analogue replay.

The turntable is designed as a fully customisable, upgradable base on which to build to the users personal style and cost up to fully-fledged mid range record player, which competes favourably with competition at much higher price points

The MODULAR ONE plinth is CNC machined from billet acrylic and highly polished to give a stunning finish, the feet are machined from Delrin and have dense sorbothane anti vibration pads

The bearing assembly is made of phosphorus bronze incorporating a ceramic ball, with aluminium and ground steel sub-platter that is precision engineered to exacting tolerances with 0.001 concentricity between the axle and hub

The MODULAR ONE uses a quality asynchronous motor and plays 33rpm and 45rpm.

Like many other turntables in its class, moving the drive belt on the pulley changes speed 33.3/ 45RPM

Best results are achieved when using the ISOdrive quadrature-quartz speed generator turntable motor drive system, which adds push button speed change

The ISOdrive brings also brings greater pitch stability and speed accuracy

The turntable benefits from having a tonearm transfer plate, this plate allows users to fit almost any tonearm, and indeed users can benefit from comparing a number of tonearm/cartridge combinations by simply dropping in the relevant transfer plate

The 12mm diamond polished acrylic platter has a neutral character; upgrades are available including 25mm thick acrylic, Delrin, and ply materials with a number of colour options

The turntable offers an affordable, clear upgrade path to high quality vinyl replay the entry-level turntable costing from £525 with ISO 251 tonearm, £429 without tonearm
